Steel: 1080 high carbon steel
Hardness: 60 HRC
Grind: Double beveled edge – one side flat, one side angled (can be made right- or left-handed)
Heat treatment: Fully heat-treated – annealed, oil-quenched, and tempered for 2 hours at 220°C for durability and fine grain structure
Blade: Rustic forged finish with a mirror-polished cutting edge
Design: Curved blade with a pronounced beard for control and weight reduction; widened hammer poll on the back
Handle Material: Hand-carved mountain ash wood, natural finish sealed with tung oil
Fitting: Custom fit, secured with an elm wedge
Handle length: 40cm / 16’’
Blade width: approx. 15.5cm / 6’’
