Terms and Conditions & Return Policy

1. Hand-Forged Products

All products from Noric Steel Forge are handmade using traditional blacksmithing techniques. Due to the nature of the craft, each item is unique and may vary slightly in appearance, dimensions, or finish. These variations are natural and are not considered defects. They represent the individuality and authenticity of each forged piece.

2. Product Use and Legal Age

By purchasing knives, axes, or other bladed or sharp tools from our store, you confirm that you are of legal age to own such items in your country of residence.

It is the customer’s responsibility to comply with all local laws regarding the purchase, possession, and use of bladed or sharp tools.

Orodjarstvo, Dan Pečnik S.P. – Noric Steel Forge is not liable for any misuse, accidents, injuries, or damages caused by improper or unlawful use of our products.

3. Orders and Payments

All prices are listed in euros (€ EUR).

Full payment must be made before an order is processed or shipped. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, particularly in cases of suspected fraud or incomplete information.

If an order is cancelled by us, the customer will receive a full refund.

4. Shipping and Delivery

We ship worldwide unless otherwise stated. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout.

Please note:

  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.

  • We are not responsible for customs delays, import taxes, or duties.

  • The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address.

5. Return and Refund Policy

At Noric Steel Forge, every product is made to order by hand. Each knife, tool, or accessory is forged individually, and therefore every piece is considered a custom product. For this reason, the standard EU 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply.

5.1 No Right of Withdrawal for Custom-Made Goods

In accordance with Article 43 of the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot) and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c), consumers do not have the right to withdraw from a contract for goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.

All Noric Steel Forge products are custom-made. Once production has started, orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded except in cases of defects.

5.2 Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. After this period, materials are purchased, and production begins. Once production has started, the order cannot be cancelled.

5.3 Faulty or Damaged Items

We take great pride in the quality and durability of our craftsmanship. If your product arrives damaged or with a clear manufacturing defect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item. Include a detailed description and photographs of the issue at noricsteel@gmail.com.

After reviewing the claim, we will, at our discretion:

Repair the item,

Replace it, or

Issue a refund.

We cover return shipping costs only for confirmed defective items.

Minor variations in dimensions, shape, texture, or surface finish are normal in handmade goods and do not qualify as defects.

5.4 Return Procedure for Approved Claims

If a return is authorized:

You will receive a return authorization and instructions.

Items must be returned unused, unsharpened, and in their original packaging.

Once the item is received and inspected, you will be notified of the outcome and any applicable refund or replacement.

5.5 Returns Not Accepted For

Natural variations in materials (such as wood grain or forge marks)

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper care

Custom or personalized orders

6. Warranty and Liability

Our products are made to last through proper use and care. However, due to the nature of hand-forged tools, we do not offer lifetime warranties.

If a product shows a defect due to craftsmanship within 30 days of delivery, contact us for possible repair or replacement options.

Orodjarstvo, Dan Pečnik S.P. – Noric Steel Forge shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages resulting from the use or misuse of our products.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, images, logos, product designs, and descriptions—is the intellectual property of Orodno Kovaštvo, Dan Pečnik S.P. – Noric Steel Forge.

No part of this website may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

8. Privacy Policy

We value and protect your privacy. Personal data collected through our website is used solely for processing orders and improving customer experience.

Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Slovenia and applicable European Union regulations.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or from transactions with Orodjarstvo, Dan Pečnik S.P. – Noric Steel Forge shall be resolved by the competent court in Slovenia, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law.
