Large Flat Adze – 100mm Blade (Made to Order)
Designed for planishing large flat surfaces, smoothing timber, removing edges, and cabin-building projects. The wide blade and long handle provide excellent reach and control for heavy-duty woodworking.

• Edge: 100mm / 4’’ wide blade, mirror-finish ground, and razor sharp
• Handle: 65cm / 25.5’’ hand-carved ash wood, fitted with an elm wedge – made in house

The Adze is perfect for what I need. The two-foot handle is the right length (for me anyway) standing astride a 10 inch timber. With the blade angle closer to parallel with the handle, it's a more controlled drawing stroke instead of swinging a broad arch with a more perpendicular blade. It can also leverage the cut better. Fine forging and definitely superior to the manufactured carpenter's adze's advertised online that look like repurposed rogue hoes.
