This froe was very well made. I'm satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this item to anyone who is interested in buying a quality froe.
The Adze is perfect for what I need. The two-foot handle is the right length (for me anyway) standing astride a 10 inch timber. With the blade angle closer to parallel with the handle, it's a more controlled drawing stroke instead of swinging a broad arch with a more perpendicular blade. It can also leverage the cut better. Fine forging and definitely superior to the manufactured carpenter's adze's advertised online that look like repurposed rogue hoes.

Merci Dan pour cette herminette. J'ai pris en option le fourreau en cuir, ce qui a pris plus de temps, mais ça valait la peine d'attendre car il est très bien fait, du bel ouvrage. L'outil en lui même est exactement comme décrit, magnifique. J'espère juste que j'arriverai à garder le tranchant aussi bien aiguisé, car c'est un rasoir ! Merci.

Noric Steel
My name is Dan, I am a Bladesmith from Slovenia, Europe. I live in a small mountain village, where I've built my own forge. I make heirloom quality tools for woodworkers, blacksmiths, hunters and outdoorsmen alike!
Noric Steel name meaning:
I chose my brand name ‘‘Noric Steel’’ because of its historical significance.
In present day Slovenia, there use to be a Celtic kingdom called Noricum.
They were known for producing steel of the best quality, so good that even the ancient Romans wanted and imported it for their weapons, hence the name represents quality along with tradition. Blacksmithing and ore smelting was always present on these grounds.
